Aurora

BISS CH Magic’s Northern Lights

#2 Weimaraner Bitch, #4 Weimaraner Breed Points

1st National Specialty Award of Merit

1st Place Intermediate Futurity Class National Specialty

Aurora was our keeper out of Rowdy x Hazel. I think the best word to describe Aurora is balanced. This girl exudes type and balance. All parts are harmonious. It’s the reason she finished in 30 hours. Finding a puppy that balanced, with incredible, clean movement and phenomenal foot placement is a breeders dream. We are so fortunate to keep producing puppies like her. Aurora finished in style winning the breed in Fargo at the last show.

Aurora at only six months old showed at the regional specialty before our National Specialty as the youngest Special at the show. She made it all the way through the cuts and landed just outside the ribbons. Not to bad for a baby. She will hang at home doing bird dog stuff and other things until its her time to shine again.

***Update*** Aurora sat on the bench after the National Specialty in June 2025 until the first weekend in January 2026where she was entered for the weekend to hopefully get some Grand Championship points. Apparently no one told her that was the plan. Her first day…….BEST IN SPECIALTY SHOW at 13 months. Day 2, Best of Breed, Day 3 Best of Opposite Sex. Apparently we did not get her memo…..The things that rang true half a year ago, are still true today. She has matured beautifully and still has a long way to go. She will be spot shown up until the National Specialty this year in May to “stay in the game”. This gorgeous, phenomenal young lady will have a ton of opportunities in the dog show world, but for now we are gonna let our “baby” grow up, have fun and do dog stuff. Aurora gave us a helluva start to the new year!

*****Update****** Aurora doesn’t just like the biggest stage, she thrives on it. Holding the record for the fastest dog I have ever finished would normally be great all in itself. However, Aurora always has other plans. She is the #7 Weimaraner in the country, she was the #1 AWARD OF MERIT at the National Specialty, she won her very competitive Futurity Class at the National as well. Sometimes when the dog speaks, you need to listen. Aurora will be kept showing at times this year, but a bigger push made next year with her. While our bench at home is deep with competitive dogs, sometimes its the dogs time, not ours. At just 18 months old, she has an impressive resume. It will only get better from here…….
