Magic's Weimaraners

Magic’s Weimaraner’s started ,in earnest, in 1992 with our foundation bitch, Magic.  Formally known as Moonshine’s Magic Confection. My family has owned Weimaraners for as long as I can remember. Our first dogs were out of the paper, just pets, like many folks. In 1990, we had a horrible Weimaraner named Misty and a Cocker Spaniel named Toby. The kind of horrible where your parents discuss the dogs might go “on vacation” permanently. I loved the dogs…..so I researched like most 15 year olds, and found a training class in Central Florida to attend. I started attending obedience classes at Three J dog training in Central Florida in hopes to train an unruly Weimaraner and Cocker Spaniel.  While there, I met a group of great  people that introduced me to AKC dog sports. They were kind enough to let me tag along with them to shows and watch. I naturally gravitated to watching the Weimaraner’s show.  They were gorgeous!! They were Ferrari’s, compared to our Misty. I fell in love with a dog named Leroy “CH Donmar’s Whirlwind V Mattrace JH, NSD” being shown by Jane Alston Meyers. 

My friends from Three J Dog Training (all golden people) happened to know a Weimaraner breeder that had a golden for a short period of time. They were kind enough to introduce me to Marlene Judd of Moonshine Weimaraners.It just so happened that she bred Leroy to her bitch Witch (CH Moonshine’s The Sorceress) Marlene was kind. She was a wonderful mentor and a straight shooter. A few short months later “Magic” was born. 

 Magic was the start of what has been a lifelong passion. Magic's descendants over the past 30 years have done it all. Best In Show, Multiple Best In Specialty Show, #1 Show Bitch, Top 5 Male Special, Futurity,  Maturity Winning, Hunting Titled, Obedience Title, Trick Dog, Dock Diving, National Dog Show Best of Breed, Westminster Award of Merit.......you name it!! 

Our current dogs all share our original show pup Magic in every pedigree. She is behind every Weim we have! (Except Vivienne and Ted lol)  We show, we breed, we work our dogs in a TON of venues, and we title them. A gorgeous dog can be your show, hunting, obedience, and Best In Home companion.
